Kate's 15 Minute Challenge
Finally, a good week to report. I wanted to see what some of the stars looked like joined together.
Making the diamonds is fast and easy, but joining them together is going slowly. I joined a quilting group and they were talking about an older lady who had some special magnifying glasses that helped her make tiny stitches. I think I need to look for something like that for this work.
See how others are doing with their 15 minutes a day at Kate's blog Life in Pieces.

Lucky Me! Look What I Got in the Mail Yesterday!
I've decided that my word of the year should be gratitude. Receiving this gift yesterday, along with a lovely dinner out last night made me realize that I don't show true gratitude even when my heart runs over with it. So that is what I am going to work on this year, beginning with this wall hanging.
Thank you Pat, for the thought that went into this, the detail, and all the hard work. The wallhanging is absolutely perfect, and I can see that you looked back over my blog to find just the right colors, and you included our big, spoiled, rescued cat who has become the center of our little lives lately.
See how well the colors match? I've been trying to decide what to put on the wall behind this sofa, and the will fit perfectly. Thank you again!

15 Minute Challenge, a New Start
I did really good this week for a change. We took a trip to my mother's and I carried my paper piecing with me. I either worked on it in the car or at her house nearly every day, and even after we got home. I'm still not sure if I'll finish enough to make a quilt, but I am learning how to do it. I think.
And here is my stash busting report, although I haven't done a thing with it. I already had all the fabric counted in my paper piecing.
