15 Minute Challenge July 26

I didn't get any sewing or quilting done this week, but I did get a lot of crafting done.

Tuesday - Made fire-ant-proof cat bowl
Wednesday - Sand dresser, drawers, and fill nail holes
Thursday - Build drawer handles
Friday - Build base blocks
Saturday - Paint primer
Sunday - Install wheels and paint first coat
Monday - Drill holes for handles
Tuesday - Paint second coat

Actually there were a lot more days of painting, but I started by trying to paint outside and had to do all that over again.

I hope to show the chest tomorrow.

15 Minute Challenge July 19

I'm a day late on this. How time flies when a deadline looms.

I didn't get a lot of quilting done this week, but I did get a lot of crafting done.

I spent a few of my 15 minute sessions working on the HSTs, but most of the week was spent making the ottoman. 15 minutes worked just great when gluing the pieces together. That was just about how long it took to make a few cuts, glue, and clamp.

See how others have used their 15 minutes at Kate's blog, Life in Pieces.

Meanwhile, the heat dome stays over us, and most of the central U.S. and we continue our 100+ degree days. Fun.

Blessings,
Marti

15 Minute Challenge July 12

I did a little better this week; at least I have something to report. The unrelenting heat has slowed the garden production so I'm actually spending less time outside every day. I water and the next day I can't even tell it. The poor cat goes into the garage about 10 a.m. and won't come out until 6 p.m. I shouldn't have bragged that he never leaves our yard anymore because he has been disappearing at night. I hope he's in search of a cool place to sleep and not out looking for trouble. So far, he is none the worse for wear the next morning.

Tuesday - Worked on HSTs
Wednesday - Worked on HSTs
Thursday - I have no idea what I did
Friday - Worked on HSTs
Saturday - No sewing
Sunday - No sewing
Monday - Worked on paper pieced stars
