15 Minute Challenge

I must admit, I have done absolutely no sewing in the last week. I was going to show the paper piecing I did while on vacation, but I can't find it!

Update, I found it. These were so easy, it makes me wish I had taken the Paper Piecing plunge earlier. There is a way to stitch them only on the back so the stitches don't have to be pulled later, but this was the easiest way in a moving car on rough roads. It went really fast too.

Kate asked why we are doing the 15 Minute Challenge. There are several reasons I do it, but mainly it gives me the motivation to get started when my inclination is to just sit in front of the computer or tv.

However, the garden is just about under control, and it's getting so hot now that I want to be finished outside by 9 A.M. so I plan on getting in my 15 minutes (at least) every day now.

Stash Buster Report Week 22

Thanks to my neighbor, I finally have something worth reporting. She wants to learn how to upholster her banquette benches so I gave her some fabric so she can practice. Otherwise, I just used a measly .5 yards.

Oops, I just remembered that my neighbor gave me some fabric also. Oh well, I'll count it next week. I'll have to use some to keep my numbers from going back up.

15 Minute Challenge

I haven't done much this week. You'd think I would be on a roll from last week. But I did do something besides work on the HSTs. I decided to take the leap into paper piecing. It seems like a good thing to do on trips, so we'll see.

Tuesday, April 26 - No sewing. I think I went shopping.
Wednesday, April 27 - Sewed HSTs into strips
Thursday, April 28 - No sewing. Worked in garden
Friday, April 29 - No sewing. Worked in garden
Saturday, April 30 - No sewing. Cleaned house
Sunday, May 1 - Cut diamonds out of paper.
Monday, May 2 - Cut fabric into strips for paper piecing.

Check out Life in Pieces to participate in Kate's challenge.
