Design Wall Monday

Yesterday I started quilting this Around the World from the Couch. I need to do some free motion, and then bind it. But oops, I didn't plan for binding. I barely had enough of these fabrics to make the quilt. I'm thinking of trying to find some red bandana fabric. The corners were from one bandana, but it seems like I have seen bolts of bandana fabric lately. Or I could just bind with white from the excess backing fabric. Or maybe something else?

    1. I just did some simple lines with the walking foot. Now I need to go back and fill in with FMQ.

  4. Pretty quilt. I read your story about Buddy and I have to say he does not look nice. I am a cat lover but i would give him a wide berth.

    1. LOL, yes, he wasn't nice for a year or two. He has settled down now and will do just about anything for a good chin scratch.

    1. Thanks. I think red too. I'd like to use a bandana print but don't really want to buy any, but I found a red in my stash that may work.

  7. Very dramatic quilt, love the red and black color scheme. I'm not sure that the print matters as much as the color for the binding. I'd probably go with black.
