I really hoped to end this week with a loss, but I ran out of fabric and had to buy just a little more, and, well, you know how that goes. Five yards later and I have fabric added to my stash that has no particular purpose, other than it's pretty and will work well with other colors.
I also bought some yarn and realized that I seem to be building a yarn stash. And since I absolutely refuse to build and keep up with another stash, I'd better start using this. Don't get excited knitters, I am only making hats on a round loom. Baby steps.
I'll link up with Patchwork Times tomorrow.

You almost used what you bought. Hopefully you be back to stash reduction mode next week.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, but I seem to always buy more than I need when I go for "just a little bit more" at the fabric store.
ReplyDeleteWith all I have, I am on my way to exchange a birthday gift as an excuse to buy more marine vinyl. I know I am going to buy almost every bit of their "left over" marked down pieces. Now - I have to get to selling them!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with your skills to create a spreadsheet. I just keep track of mine in a small notebook! Hope you are able to find some time today to quilt or do some woodworking.
ReplyDeleteI love the spreadsheet format! It's so detailed... :)
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds like what I did (it'll be reported NEXT week) with going into the LQS to buy 'just a little more' so that I could do a binding and deciding to buy an entire yard, plus two other pieces of yardage though one of those does have a purpose! I too like your spreadsheet; did you do it on Excel and then if so, how did you get it posted within your blog message?
ReplyDeleteIt was really pretty easy once I figured out how to make it repeat. If I can figure out how, I'll put it in a blog post.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It seems to be easier for me to keep my eyes on my goal, though I couldn't prove that this week.
ReplyDeleteIf you are like me, if you only buy enough for your project, then you find you need just a little more and when you go back to the store, it's gone. That's my excuse anyway.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did that in excel and then did a screen capture to make an image of it. When I have some time, I'm going to see if I can figure out a way to post the working spreadsheet so others can use it.
You are so close to having a loss on your stash busting, I am sure you will reach that soon. I do the same thing when I go shopping, I always find something to buy because it is pretty.

Thank you for visiting. Yes, I am sooooo close. I just need to rein in the buying for awhile.
